Never trust a man wearing heels higher than your own, ladies.

“Why are we letting queens in skinny jeans tell us that we aren’t good enough?”

Hyacinth Girl posits this brilliant question in reference to this model  being told she’s too fat for the runway.  Yeah, really.  In response to the critics of skinny emaciated models everywhere, Karl Lagerfeld stuffed his stillettoed heel in his mouth by calling the aforementioned critics

‘fat mummies who sit with bags of potato chips’

I take issue with that Karl, I really do.

Another Hyacinth gem:

But what do I know? I’m just a fat, uneducated cow–and a breeder nonetheless–and he’s the dandy queen with the perpetually puckered puss. I mean, he wears women’s jeans–he’s obviously my superior, even though I also wear women’s jeans… but it’s best not to think too deeply on such matters.

I agree with Hyacinth Girl: I don’t aspire to be “prepubescent boy” slim, nor do I think it’s a sexy look.  It’s my mission as a mother (among myriad others) to instill in pjToddler a healthy ideal of weight.  The Karls of the world don’t help.

Why should this man dictate what looks sexy for women?  He can’t decide if he wants to be Madonna or Colonel Sanders.
