Let’s play a game of hypotheical

If this were written about any group other than Iraq War vets, heads would roll:

And they’re very sensitive — some would say overly so — when their war is portrayed via a central character who is a reckless rogue.

And gays are very sensitive–some would say overly so–when their AIDS saga is portrayed via a central character who is a reckless rogue, infecting underage boys without informing them of his own HIV positive status.

And liberals are very sensitive–some would say overly so–when their candidate is portayed as a racist, Chicago thug politician.

But it’s written about Iraq War vets, so of course it’s ok.

How this garbage masquerading as journalism makes it into print on a daily basis amazes me.
