Tea: RINOs and Noonan’s buyer’s remorse

Via Hot Air.  One RINO knocked off in a primary will announce tonight that she’s running a write-in campaign (h/t Hot Air headlines).  Allahpundit wonders how long until Maine RINO Olympia Snow changes party à la Specter to avoid a Tea Party challenger in the primary in 2012. We all know how well that’s worked out for Specter, right?  Regardless, Allahpundit offers an interesting opt-out solution for RINOS and DINOS alike.

Democrats underestimate the power of Tea–highly motivated voters.  Then again, so do Republicans.  At their peril.  (Heck, even ol’ Peggy Noonan sees the “enduring political impact.”  How quick she is able to “turn on a dime” herself after offering arguments in favor of Obama and trashing Palin.) Buyer’s remorse or a return to senses?

  1. I’m glad she’s come back, but I don’t think I will ever read Peggy in the way I used to. I don’t trust her anymore.

  2. Like so many others, Peggy Noonan set her sails to take advantage of the prevailing political winds, especially when it looked like Obama opponents could not survive.

Now the winds are shifting, and she is re-setting her sails.

There’s going to be a lot more of that going on for awhile, I think.
