Unemployment (paint by) numbers

What a depressing picture.

Quite Rightly: New Jobs Figure: 4/10 of One Job Added Per Zip Code. She writes:

On average.

That will be a big help to the one out of every eleven Americans who are out of work.

From the Washington Examiner:

The jobs numbers could hardly have been worse. Not only did the unemployment rate rise to 9.2 percent, and the economy create only 18,000 jobs, but the percent of Americans choosing to participate in the labor force declined to 64.1 percent, the same level as in March, 1984. Over 44 percent of the unemployed have been out of work for six months or longer, making their reentry into employment even more difficult.

Will people realize they’ve been sold a false bill of goods? New Obama ’12 motto: We changed a lot! Hope you didn’t notice!

  1. It’s ashame we have to wait a year and a half to kick this guy out. Right now he would lose in a landslide.

  2. Yeah, the homeless girl I met was really upset by these numbers. She was crying when I talked to her last night. She wants to know how she will be one of them if it is only 18K for the entire nation. She was really staying postive but this threw her for a loop.

  3. How we wish the change was too small to notice!

    Thanks for the link!
