Thank you, Ron Paul

For pointing out the obvious about Newt.

I admit awe at Newt’s recent poll numbers because I can’t for the life of me figure out why on earth anyone who claims to be conservative would vote for him. If conservatism doesn’t matter, then vote for Mitt. Why Newt? It certainly takes ethics off the table in the general election, among myriad other things: lobbying, bad money, bad politics, pandering to the left, Donald Berwick. Good lord.

H/t Hot Air.

  1. Newt is definitely a flawed person. Even more than his position changes, his problem is that he fails to provide confidence in the people he works with. It was the House Republicans themselves who pushed Newt out as speaker. He lacks self control, self destructs, and undermines the objectives of his own team. He keeps saying that he’s a changed person now. Well just a few months ago he completely undermined Paul Ryan and his campaign team quit. Same old, same old. I can’t believe people have that short a memory. I will be surprised if he holds up.
